Hello, and nice day from Austria! I am a model maker of aircraft models. I will construct the RED 5 of Kirstey Stewart (2011). Unfortunately, we have no general registration of the machines, because the pilots do not fly compelling always on the same Hawks. I hope somebody has the often flown registration of the Hawk from Kirsty in 2011. You would help me very much. (XX … … …. ) I think it was XX306 but I am not sure! THANKS!

Hello,
I don't know if it was the aircraft most often flown by Red5, but the aircraft that crashed on August 20th this year was XX179.
Kind regards,
Peter

Hi Peter!
Thank´s for your information. I have seen on the homepage any details about XX179.
I also see that XX308 in 2010 was the most flying Hawk in the Position of "RED 3" (Pilot also Kirsty Stewart but 2010 her name was Moore!)
I hope anyone have the registry of RED 5 in 2011!

Hi Alfie! Thanks for your information. I looked in this site and i found also byside the registry XX179 the date "April 2002" ?? Is this date the date when this Hawk came to the Red Arrows? Kirsty´s first flight was in 2010 as "RED 3" (XX308), 2011 she was "RED 5" and 2012 i think she is "RED 9" I have a little problem with XX179 because when it is true i think this Hawk had an accident 2011. I think it was with Flt.Lt. Sean Cunningham (R.I.P) When it is true - Kirst ycouldn´t fly as "RED 5" the XX179, or ?? Has anyone the name of the new "RED 5" for 2012. At the homepage of Red Arrows we can find Flt.Lt. Sean Cunningham as "RED 5" ?? Sorry - you see i have many questions.

Hi Please follow this link and I think that it will answer most of your questions www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-15964672 (Red 3 & Red 5 are mentioned near the bottom of the report). The 2012 team will probably not be publicly announced until the display season starts next year and the RAF has to print a new Red Arrows guide book. Regards, Alfie

Hi there The aircraft flown by the Reds move around during the display season depending on serviceability and scheduled maintaince. Pilots stick with an airframe as much as they can, primarily I suspect to avoid having to reset pedals, harnesses, seats etc to suit changes of pilot.. but they can change literally at crew in before a launch.
However I can confirm that Kirsty flew XX308 at the Kemble Airday in June 2011 for all three flights (in, display, and departure)
I hope this helps Paul
