I have recently purchased the above Hasegawa kit via eBay. (private seller has offered to make a refund). Unfortunately several of the clear plastic parts (from sprue "C") are missing (the main ones being the headlight lens). This is such a good looking kit I would like to purchase a replacement sprue. I've tried Amerang, Models for Sale with no joy. I cant see a contact address for Hasegawa Japan. Does anyone have any suggestions for a source please? Thanks

If you go to the HobbyLink japan website www.hlj.com they do have a replacment parts service. Only issue may be if the kit is no longer in production in which case you're relying on them having one 'lying around'. Happy Hunting THC

Hi Bj, Shame about your kit. It really builds into a nice model. If you can't get replacements and you still want to keep the kit, as a last resort you could try sculpting the covers from Milliput and then using the patterns to vac-form replacements. You can hash up a simple vac-forming machine using a vacuum cleaner. Don't think you can plunge-mould these as they have a concave top face. I'm presuming you mean the light covers, not the lenses. If it is the lenses then it's a doddle to make replacements by plunge-moulding or smash-forming as some call it. Regards Dave
