I regret to anounce that the IPMS(UK) Reconnaissance Special Interest Group is not currently active.
When active it covered all forms of reconnaissance, military and civilian, whether by a specialised air/land/maritime vehicle, or a standard one operated by a unit/organisation whose primary role is reconnaissance, including:
• Strategic Reconnaissance
• Tactical Reconnaissance (Tac-R, FR, etc)
• Artillery Observation and Battlefield control
• Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance
• Meteorological Reconnaissance
• Airborne Early Warning
• Electronic Intelligence – SIGINT and so on
• Mapping and Survey work
Whether on land, at sea, in the air or in space.
If you would like to see the SIG become active again, and are willing to assume the role of SIG leader, please contact the IPMS(UK) UKLO.
