Hi Guys, just a quick question, as you may know i have a few!, of these kits to do, unfortunatly Tamiya do not supply the correct wheels for the different versions, especially when useing aftermarket decal sheets. I was wondering if anyone knows where i may be able to purchase 1/24 scale wheels for these Porsches, classic example is the newman version i am currently building, as the Tamiya instuctions show both front and rears as being faced, not haveing the 956 book at the time i went ahead and followed the instructions, but all the relevant photos in the book show the rear wheels as wire, so to change them i either need an aftermarket version or i would have to buy another kit with the rear wheels in wire. Sorry to be so long winded, but if anyone can help i would be most grateful.
Dave

Hi Dave, Can't directly suggest a source here but there's a lot of info on the 956/962 here: robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/962a.htm and wheels are included. Only problem is that many aftermarket suppliers have closed down in the last few years. Profil 24 did a 962 and may still have parts. They're nice folks and may be able to help. Also try a Google search eg Porsche 956/962 resin wheels. You may find something from slot-car suppliers. They do some stuff in 1/24 as well as 1/32. Hope you find something. Dave
