Hi All, Question about paint for reproducing the used look of tyres on trucks what do you all use as i always used to use Revell along with weathering powders. Well Charles, here's a wheel I've just prepared for a truck build ... ... all I've done is rubbed the tyre with a sanding stick to remove the nice shiny glow of new kit tyres. I then gave the tyre a wet wash of MIG .Gulf War Sand' as the truck is operating in the desert. However, for normal running here in the UK I would use MIG 'City Dirt' instead. I wipe off the excess with a paper towel and force dry the tyre with a mini hair dryer but they can be left to dry normally, depends on how impatient you are. Here's the finished front and rear wheels ...

Not a problem, use Vallejo Black to paint the tyres and when it's dry, brush with MIG 'Europe Dust', that will give the same effect as mine
