I was very sad to learn from the magazine of the loss of Ted Taylor. He was a really nice guy who I had come to know and respect as a top class modeller over the 30 odd years I had known him. Ted had a wry sense of humour, and we used to share a little joke whenever he was doing one of his spraying demos at a show. I used to sidle up behind his audience and say in a squeaky voice 'Can you show how to use an air brush mister?' to which he looked up at me a bit old fashioned and always replied 'Naff off!' I will miss Ted's banter, and the benefit of his vast experience that he was always willing to share with other modellers. Ted was one of those unforgettable 'characters' and a stalwart of IPMS over the years. He will be missed both by the society and the hobby.
