Just a quickie!
Anyone know where I can get a glass cutting mat? I had a large piece of glass I took to my local glass suppliers for them to cut down, unfortunately it turns out to be toughened & can't be cut!

What size Harley? If it's about 6-8 inches by 10-12 inches then a shelf from an old fridge would do it ... have you tried the same glass suppliers? I thought "glass, window, for the glazing of", needed to be toughened, so they should be able to get you a small bit

I did ask if they had anything in the size I was after but the response was, "We don't deal in such small quantities" & before I could say anything else he walked off!!

Would a small mirror do the job? They can be picked up quite cheaply from all sorts of places - Wilko & Poundland to name but two.

Or, a clipframe glass - but they aren't toughened!

How about a glass chopping board from somewhere like Range or Ikea. Edges are gound for safety

Problem solved! Picked up a solid glass picture frame from TK Max for £6. Front bit is about 8mm thick with 2 strips on the back that form a dovetail shape where the photo holder slides in.
