I've posted these already on a hints and tips page but as my fisrt projects for some very considerable time, I'm posting these here too. One is marked as TR-KMP/126956 of the Gabon Presidential Guard, flown by Jacques Borne, who I've been corresponding with. This machine is now in the National Museum of Naval Aviation, Florida, after being impounded by the US Customs after import from France. The other is 127888/12-LE of the EAA 1/21 French Air Force based in Djibouti. I have marked it as it was when it visited Nairobi in August 1967 as part of a four-ship group. It is relatively unusual in that it has red/white prop tips, and no of the USN style. These models took a lot of research and re-shaping to get them as per the French machines, particularly the underwing pylons, the side doors (crudely marked ), Mk8 and Mk12 drop tanks, various aerials, etc. 127888 is now in a museum in Kalamazoo after a long career in the US as a target tug. They are both based on the excellent Hasegawa A-1J. They are not super detailed or even weathered (apart from the obligatory exhaust trails), but are merely representative of a machine I love. Apologies for the quality of the images Martin
