Anticipation At long last there is to be a plastic kit of the Bugatti Veyron...By Airfix. Looks as though Hornby, the holding company have negotiated with VW for rights too enable their Airfix division to kit this car. From what I have seen on t'internet it will be a snap together kit aimed at younger modellers but no scale was mentioned. Perhaps it will be in 1/32nd scale...we will see. It will be interesting to see how well detailed the kit will be despite being a snap together kit. But hey! Hornby are also the holding company for the big 1/8th scale Pocher brand that they resurrected with the Lambo' Aventador. Wouldn't the Bugatti Veyron make a super kit subject for the revived Pocher line?

Noel, zero detail opportunity. If it's like the aircraft the body will b solid with no internals at all - solid Lego. Don't forget these are aimed well and truly at the youngest of modellers to get then interested in the concept.

Rich, I actually got one and did some detailing work on it. The Lego method of building does make it very awkward to do extra work on it but I got a passable model from it. Not good, but passable.
