Most Car Model Builders will be aware of master craftsman Gerald Wingrove's beautiful scratch built models and his books. I have been in contact with him over the last couple of days because his Wincol web site appeared to be defunct. He confirmed that he had closed it some years ago and he told me that, before he retired he used to sell copies of his plans and photos to model makers direct on that site. As soon as he retired he sold all of the Data Collection to someone in the USA who was going to set up and run the plans service as a commercial venture! Gerald tells me that shortly afterwards the person that he sold the data collection on to suffered a nervous breakdown and the venture never got off the ground. He does not know what has happened to any of it since he sold it on, or the whereabouts of the person he sold it on to. All of it must be languishing somewhere. So,does anyone know of its whereabouts or anyone that might? All the plans and data represent about 30 years worth of data that Gerald Wingrove amassed and prepared for his model car building. If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

AN UPDATE! Since I posted on this subject, I have since found out that the Wingrove Plans Service was taken on by an American named Stephen Pombo. I understand that he has a website named Pomboworks.com. Whether Mr. Pombo is active or not with the plans service is unknown
