Hi
Any advice or pointers on using Milliput gratefully received. I was considering using it on some 1/12th scale figures (the old Airfix Henry VIII for example) to fix some of the joins. I need something that I can form and shape to match the kit engravings.
many thanks
anthony

I hesitate to reply as I am by no means an expert when it comes to milliput. I have a small box of the white superfine stuf and fine that it works well, albeit a little messy. The stuff is pretty easy to manipulate and if you are using it to enhance details then it is very good as it dries rock hard.
I normally dig out a pair of latex gloves when using milliput as it can be very messy and I suggest you have lots of damp cloths nearby to wipe away any milliput in the wrong place as once it is dry it is solid.
On the whole it is good stuff but unless I am forming a 'add-on' to a model I normally stick with the basic putty for gap filling.
Sorry, I dont think I have been much help.
Paul

hi , use a knife to cut equal parts and mix till it is uniform in colour , leave to stand for about 30 minutes before using , this allows the tackyness to disapate but not fully , use a dental tool to shape and form contours needed or a shaped cocktail stick hardened with supper glue and given a slight polish . To get very smooth finish use water to smooth down , Hope it helps cheers ian

sometimes if you find it is difficult to apply , just try scoring the affected area with a blade helps to adhere the filler to surface

Try the Milliput website. There are some good hints & tips and tutorials there. I am a long-time Milliput user, but I have recently started to use Aves Apoxie Sculpt (available from Antenociti's) which sound fairly similar to MajiSculpt in that it is softer and less sticky than Milliput.
