Greetings one and all. I would appreciate your opinion on this subject. Whaty is the best canopy adhesive? For years I have got away with careful use of Liquid Poly 70 and the like but a couple of weeks ago I got the dreaded capillary action and a bit of glare shield paint showing on the inside of the screen. I can live with this but is there a better way. I've just been looking at Deluxe Products Glue'n'Glaze, is that the number one sticky stuff now, or R/C modellers glue - which I would use for vac-form canopies?
Please let me know what you think works best then I may trot out and get some!
Thanks in advance

I always use ordinary white (PVA) glue intended for sticking wood or card together. It doesn't attack plastic, it dries clear, it can be washed off with water and if necessary you can dissasemble it by soaking in water or carefully pulling the parts apart.
I thin it a bit with water and apply with a paint brush. You can also thin it a lot and let capillary action pull it into closely fitting parts.
I also use it to glue painted non-load bearing parts together because it dries slowly and can be dissasembled if things go wrong.
Fabulous stuff and very cheap!

As DP wrote, ordinary white glue (PVA) can be used, Microscale Kristal Kleer (must be very closely related to to PVA) will dry very translucent, where as white glue can end up a bit milky. Another method is Johnson's Klear (Future), the adhesive strength is usually quite sufficient.
