Here are my 'local' ones. Remember in North Yorkshire 'local' isn't necessarily next door ;D
Pickering - Puffers opposite the station.
Bridlington - Croppers
Scarborough - P+S Models Castle St
York - Monk Bar Models, under Monk Bar in the city walls
York - P+S Models, Walmgate.
Theres supposed to be one in Hull but I ain't found it yet.
Wolfie.
PS Nick if you are ever in Tamworth, check out Gills toyshop next to the market building, near Middle Entry as I recall. They had an upstairs floor which is where my 50p went on bagged Airfix kits. I'd love to know if it was still there.

Recently visited to two of the above.
Monk Bar Models was a bit of a disappointment. Seemed to be mainly devoted to die-casts and trains. I didn't find anything to spend good money on.
Croppers in Sunny Brid' was a revelation! Quite an Aladdin's Cave and certainly well stocked. Better than the days when it was on The Prom.

Yeah agree on Monk Bar Models, I don't use it. Generally use P+S or Puffers. Depends where the job takes me I guess. I have also heard of one in Tadcaster, but haven't found that yet neither.

Whereabouts in Brid is Croppers Also in Scarborough There is a model shop which mainly specialises in Hornby/scalextrix stuff half way up the hill from the harbour and it sometimes has a few plastic model kit bargains on the shelves. Also there is Shermans in Scunthorpe lot of Military stuff, Hewins in Grimsby near the McDonalds at Freshney Place go down the alley, also found one in Skegness as you head down the high street from the beach go down the left fork it's about half way down on the right does a lot of die-cast as well as plastic stuff. If I find anymore I will post them up

The shop in Scarborough is P&S Models, I'm not sure if its still the case but they used to have a shop in York as well.

The one in Scarborough isn't P+S, thats on Castle street. I know the one Pats on about in Westborough but its almost exclusively trains so I didn't include it.

Theres supposed to be one in Hull but I ain't found it yet. Wolfie. If its the one I'm thinking of it just called the model shop and can be found on Ferensway. a quick google gave this address 179 Ferensway, Hull, HU1 3UA, 01482 329199 I haven't been there for a long while but IIRC they did have a wide range of kits.

Hiya regarding The Model Shop Ferensway Hull after many years of being run by the same people it has recently changed ownership, the range of stock is now less than it used to be although still diverse.Living in Hull makes finding kits hard which is why I bimble off to Croppers in Brid when I need cars,it's one of very few places I know that still keeps a fair range of Revell(US) and AMT/ERTL kits stocked.Being a drag buff stuff is getting rarer and I have to order from the US and with so few new issues I am begining to turn to resin.Cheers John

Why not bimble (love these new words) down to the 'trucks, cars and motorcycle' room and show off some of your stuff? ... always nice to see something new.
