Hi Rob. Re: masking of the corrugations. I wonder if using the old Humbrol Mascol would help, ie reverse mask the area to be painted, use mascol as a barrier to prevent bleed-over, then place the proper mask over this. I have the same problem with SA-205 (Apollo 7 Saturn 1b) and I am going to try this method. As for the Real Space replacement for the CSM/LM Adapter unit, is this as good as they say? I am scratch building a fatter CSM from sheet plastic around the Airfix original, to get a more believable set of dimensions for the CSM. regards. Paul S Hi Paul, Only just saw this! Yes the Realspace CSM is the mutts, although the manoeuvring rockets are better in the Airfix kit! Hopefully I'll get it finished in time (along with everything else). Dusted off my Revell 1/72 Space Shuttle at the weekend and Might have to give that a go for next year. Backboard is looking good, how about a few pics of various NASA Personalities? The Challenger and Columbia crew shots would be good too, lest we forget. Cheers, Rob

Hi Rob. If the Saturn V is delayed, we can use it for 2009, the 40th anniversary of "One small step".
If the shuttle is not ready for 2009, don't worry. The theme for the 2010 display is hopfully going to be "End of an Era- the Space Shuttles last flight". So all shuttle models are going to be needed.
If we include NACA subjects for 2009, we can add a lot of the X-craft, used to help explore the aeronautical theories used to develop the shuttle system. So you have plenty of time (God willing).

Thanks for the link Alfie.
The main problem I am facing is scalability of the NASA Meatball. I tried to send this to an A1 plotter we have in one of our Student PC labs, it went all fuzzy.
The original file size I have does not like going above A3 at present. So I need to find another image that will not distort when it goes large.
Ho Humm. Off to the NASA web site again, I think.
