All I am coming to the end of 2 weeks away from work and as you may have noticed I have had some quality modelling time curtesy of the mem, allowing me to complete the 126, the Lysander and now the 109. Based on the research I have carried a number of E4's were converted to E5 conviguration which consisted of removing the wing mounted guns, leaving the cowl mounted guns in place and mounting an Rb50/30 camera behind the cockpit with a sliding aperture located aft of the wing root. I have also discovered that at least one was given a tropical filter and operated at some point in N Africa. I chose to use the Hasegawa 109 e5/7 trop as the base and simply snipped the wing guns off and attached the Aires camera aperture designed for the recce version of the 109G I have taken some artistic license in creating a fictional 'Black 2' of 2-H/14 and only have the unit emblem to add as a decal once I figure out how to do it - there are plenty of photos of the Gustav with this emblem on so it is not beyond the realms of possibility that the E5 was used by this staffel with the aircaft similarly adorned - anyway, photo's below, let me know what you think. Having a rest now and intend to start a track before tackling the 1/32 Storch. Paul

Hello Paul.
Just smashing - congrats, also to the 126 and the Lizzie !
Suppose you have acces to Hikoki "Aufklärer" ?
There is a badge of 2(H)14 in b/w on page 127 which you could scan and print via Word onto clear decal film - hope this helps.
good modeling, Rolf
