After a chat with Paul at Newark I have been experimenting with truck lighting circuitry. Heres what I have come up with. There are 12 LEDs in this circuit powered with a 9v battery. The left hand two are bright white for headlamps, the next 5 are orange and the last 5 red. It had been on for 45 mins when I took the pic and I'm gonna leave it on till it fails. I forgot to mention at Newark Paul that side markers in the UK are orange, not red. I suspect I could add more, but I ran out of LEDs. I will experiment further. Obviously space constraints etc will come into play too. Wolfie.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh they're nice, just the thing for a certain fire tanker I'm considering ... now all I need is a circuit for the light bars.

Do you want them to flash? Ayup Chris, the bars I'm thinking of using (or building) are strobes, with red, blue and white lamps, I'm considering having a central light source and using fibre optic cable.
