about a weeks work later the blue parts are from the Revell fridge trailer but the rest is all evergreen plastic shaped tube The frame work is basic Plastruct Fineline polystyrene angle with revell fire extinguisher box. Note the nuts and bolts on the frame work made from Plastruct hexagonal rod. this was the most difficult part to build the real one is complicated also, the holes are where the suzie fittings from M&G are to be fitted

Lovely job. I take it you were given full access to the original?
I been wondering whether my company can cut tank carrying brackets as its the curves that get me.

Really superb job Ted. I didn't quite understand the bit about cutting out for the wheels?
I'd also like to know how you go about measuring and cutting the curves.

here are the last few The hazchem board is also a photo cut out and taped on. the decals all on, those on the unit are waterslide done on the computer and printer These decals are cut Vynil and are actualy cut on the company's computer just as the real ones are only smaller you can't get more accurate than that. This trailer won two classes at Gaydon truck model show last year

they are mudflaps and one is cut for each wheel
I use a pair of compasses or french curves or for around my tubes I draw around the end onto the plasticard i am using. Another method is to wrap sand paper around the tube and sand the part to shape on it

Excellent Ted, it was your inspiration in SMI (Scale Models International) that started me modelling trucks many years ago.

Thats a really good tip. Amazing how you can model for years and years and miss summat as simple as that Cheers Ted loved the build, I want to build a tanker now. Wolfie.
