This is my partners brother and his truck. After my FH12 success I have been persuaded to try and build it The closest donor kit I can find is this Revell kit which isn't quite right but will have to do! OK first attempt at chassis scratchbuilding coming right up. Wolfie.

Ayup Chris,
After seeing your last effort, you're not mad, you simply enjoy what you do, and that's a compliment. Incidentally, I believe the article you penned about the Volvo build is due to appear in issue 5 of the Society magazine, well done mate.
Are you going to be radical and chop the side window section and modify it, or just leave the cab as it is?
So, anyone else interested in truck building? ... see the thread elsewhere in this section and let's be counted.

No I'm gonna leave the windows, because if I did the windows, I'd also have to do the door handles and the front grille and then I'd have to modify the glass inserts.
Also I really don't want to mess with that paint job, I went and begged some of the right colour paint from the fitters in the garage of the company in question after finding out that its made specially for them, BATA mustard no less! And its horrible thick stuff.
Actually its B. A. T. A. not bata. It stands for summat.
Brandsby Agricultural Trading Association if you must know

PS strapped for articles are they lol.

Chris, you've done a superb job so far. If you get into difficulties with the taughtliner body, Heller produced a trailer some time ago which resembled a curtain sider. I have the two sides of the trailer which are yours should you need them.

Yeah I have the Italeri Schmitz tautliner but its a tad too big so I'm gonna have a go at Howard's patent tautliner scratchbuilding as per TMW 61. Got a mountain of plastruct and solartex on order lol and put in a request to Gary.
Wolfie.

May just be me but the trailer proportions look a bit off.

This d**n thing is getting too big to photograph LOL. Anyone think its a bit over long? Course not it is a high cap body, probably carries glider engines inside the thing you must look at is the chassis length does it reach the rear of the body and are the rear lamps at the correct distance from the rear of the body etc. etc. Ted
