OK guys I am after ideas for a themed display.
Something to make our wagons stand out rather than just lined up on the table. I appreciate that space is limited unless we DO do the McCains plant diorama in Telford hall 3 (Ready to make 6 million taties Paul?), but a section of a lorry park or import park maybe.
We'd only really need some kind of floor layout and maybe a building end or two. A long layby? Ideas chaps!
Oh and it appears one of our number has made the hallowed pages of TMW next issue. Nice one Ted, looking forward to it.
Wolfie.

Just a suggestion Wolfie. Why not have a wharf with containers and have trucks loaded and unloaded. Maybe a ship scene behind and that crane thingy overhead. 'Just a thought'.

The 'Lots of trucks on a table' theme?
Sounds like a plan!

How about a display based on a section of the M25 at rush hour.... Lots of lorries, nose to tail...

I'm on a roll now... How about some sort of roadway intersection, a roundabout with as many junctions as you need. Possibly with a flyover as well, though that would need a fair bit of planning and building. or... A distribution depot. The depot I worked at had 20 loading bays and yard space for loaded trailers and lorries waiting to unload, plus space for yard tips (for curtain siders etc). The main road ran parallel to the yard and we had stuff queuing out there as well.

Thank you chaps.. Well most of you anyway I like the DC idea but in 1/24 we'd have the same problem as a tatie yard, we'd need slightly more than a few tables to do it! The container base would be good except you could only have container trailers and we have all sorts. Will probably have to be something along the lines of a traffic jam ora truckstop where you'd get loads of different wagons together. Wolfie.

How about a representation of the legendary 'Operation Stack' so beloved of Sally Traffic.

I think a truck stop would be best. If there was room could have part as a petrol station. Its the size thats going to be the problem.

Car and Motorcycle Sig did a Diner. One of those Chrome finished types. Sets the scene nicely.
