Looking good Ian, got to admire your perseverance mate. If I may suggest, I'm sure JT would love an article about painting and preparation for the magazine, wouldn't mind something here also in the 'Modelling Technique' section. I've sent John a draft into for consideration and I'm on with the 'donor' model. Watch the skies! H

Look forward to that Ian, and thankyou. Incidentally, if everyone here who was an IPMS member sent in just one article per year to the magazine editor, can you imagine the diversity of articles ready to be used?

........sweet Mr. Hartup...........sweet indeed are you airbrushing ?.........or rattlecanning............ from these great pix, i can't tell....... I use a specialist range of colours called Zero One by Steve of www.hiroboy.com. Airbrush ready Matt Base Coats for car models. All require a proper Clear coat so mucho sanding, polishing and waxing is required. The article in the mag will explain all. Ian

Carboned the bonnet the other night. Body preped for another few coats of clear before a final polish out and detail painting. H

Well I finally got there. This model was not without its trials and tribulations, frankly I buggered it up badly. The observant amongst you will note scars on the left front A Pillar and wing, glue marks on the front screen and assorted polishing issues. All of these occured during final assembly when my own cackhandedness kicked in big stylee! Just dont ask why the front headlight lenses are Blacked out! Anyway it's finished in the cabinet and off the workshop shelf for good! H (going back to the RGB in the hope he's finished with dodgy builds!)

Rather nice ;D I take it you cocked up the headlights then still, it looks good with them blacked out. Cheers, waldorf

Lost the Chrome plated backing and lampholders!
I'll find them sometime somewhere obvious and throw them in the bin!
