Wide body Toyota MRs Veilside "Completed"

I bought this model ages ago, you know the ones where you start it and loose interest and put at the back of your stash......

Originally it was going to be slightly modfied, bigger wheels and brakes, but painted a different colour "Bright Orange".

Then I lost interest.

Just recently I have decided to finish all previous aborted projects before starting any new ones, After seeing a picture of a wide bodied MRs it was reserected....

Heres the story so far......









This is the car I saw to inspire me......


So a base coat of black was added, some strips of plastic to make a rough idear of where i wanted things to go.......

And then lots of Miliput....

Looking good so far, and you know it's crying out for lights and neons just to get the right finish ;D ;D

......so it looks like its gonna be a roadster...

You will have to be careful with the birds now that you got no roof, looks like ones already left its mark ;D . Looking good

done a bit more today.....

Ive sanded down the sides etc ready for a coat of primer to see any imperfections.....

...and ive started to widen the sides on the top of the doors and build up the rear deck behind the seats.

Done some sanding and adding a little more of what Spike calls "Bird Poo" ......

sanded that down and then added some primer to show up any marks, pits holes and rubbing marks.....

Still lots to do

I thinks that will do for filling, once the primer drys it will be flatted down
all ready for some gloss paint.

With the primer now hardened over the last few days, it was flatted and then painted in zero paints "Liquid yellow".

Once this has hardened also, a top "clear coat" will be added for that shine.

The fronts looks just like a frog ;D, still think it needs some lights

Well I thought if I have to put on a clear coat I best put the decals on before hand......

I started to put on a few "sponsors" down the bottom/side and I felt it would look kinda cool as a "track car".......

Thats it for the clear coats, plenty of shine!

Once it hardens then it can be polished up.
