Be Bold! Lady Penelope Pink! FABGr1 is calling you....and Navigation lights then become an optional extra! Pink? ... Me, paint something Pink? ... John, you been chewing seaweed again? ... maybe it's time m'lady gave you a couple of weeks off? Incidentally, shouldn't she and that ne'er do well chauffeur of hers be heading towards Russia at the moment?

Got the Pegasus and now I've got the Mini, game on. First of all, just a small observation, this thread is in the Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles room, but as this build involves a rather large bit of a flying thingy, maybe we should have a thread for silly builds? ... just thinking out load really. Just to refresh your memory and to save you scrolling up and down like a demented mouse in a wheel, the theme for this project was to mate a Pegasus engine from the Airfix Harrier with a Tamiya Mini Cooper, the original idea being spawned from an episode of 'Top Gear' where they placed a Reliant Robin astride a rocket and made it fly ... hmmm? Anyway, I wish it to be known from the start that this project was spurned on by various loonies who frequent this forum on a regular basis. Enough said eh? ... Looking through the various bits and pieces required for the project, I have a Pegasus engine and a Mini Cooper (no not the real things, the thread from the Trabbie posting got a little silly it has to be said). So then, first item on the agenda is to fathom out how to attach the engine to the mini? ... But how about this, the centres of the wheel arches of the Mini are a direct match for the centres of the thrust thingies on the Pegasus, it's as if it was waiting to be built that way? So, off to the bench, find a sharp pencil and a piece of paper and step one ... the design. For those who like their lunacy in one lump complete with pictures, this build will be brought to you (eventually), by the IPMS (UK) Members' magazine.
