OK folks, now as you know, I was partly responsible for the 'Beyond the Box' SIG, the reason for starting the SIG was to showcase a few 'Wacky' modelling ideas, but mainly to prove to the unbelievers out there (non modellers) that this hobby can be fun.
So, having explored various group ideas for the SIG, especially 'Wallace & Gromit' and 'Wacky Racers', I've decided to do a spot of solo building just to get me back into the swing of things after almost six months of plastic free sobriety, well, I was nearly cured but I'm jumping off the wagon.
As previously advertised, I was going to use the Revell Trabant and graft a ruddy great Pegasus engine onto it, after watching a bit of lunacy on top gear where they stuck a Reliant Robin on a rocket, impressionable stuff that 'Top Gear' programme. Well anyway, I've changed my mind and it's going to be an all British affair, I'm going to use a 'Mini' as the cockpit on the Pegasus.

I saw the words "something silly" and had too look.... ;D Just remember you carnt use the New mini as it isnt British, classic mini cooper  If you use a traveler then that can be "Woody" and then all you need is Buzz..... "above and beyond woohooo wooop wooop!"  |

Just been looking in the stash for my old Tamiya Mini Cooper and I can't find it ... drat! ... looks like ebay, or if anyone has a 1/24 mini they want to get rid of ... erm ... sort of quick!

He He! ... one step nearer starting. I have secured the donor mini and once I get it on the bench, I can start to measure up for a frame to take the Pegasus.
I know I said that this build would be a solo effort, but I've decided to involve you, the regulars who support this forum and especially all those who enjoy the 'Wallace & Gromit' lunacy.
The question ... what colour should I paint the mini? ... British Racing Green, Red, Powder Blue, White ... it's up to you.

If your still thinking of keeping it all "British" you really want to paint it is some paitriotic British colours....... How about Burberry ;D ;D ;D  |

I'm only intending to sort of hover a bit ... ;D
Anyway, regarding the paint job (burberry and tweed?), at the moment, I'm intending to have the Mini powder blue, with a white roof c/w the British flag. Now then, I've got to have a name for the thing ... WaGrH1 should do it I think?
Just thought, would it need navigation lights?
