When first built they were finished In Malachite Green a distinct lime green hued colour. After 1948 AND ThE ADVENT OF British Rail THEY were re-liveried in British Railways Green aka GWR Brunswick Green. Humbrol No 3 was always a good ish match for this or try Precision Paint British Railways Green

Have your book and pencil in hand at all times. 'Ahh', number 1220 there she goe's, good old Southern Railway. ;D Good old pacific class, now wheres Wadebridge to. I have a very good friend who builds these loco's in 00 guage, mostly LSWR/Southern Railway but others too. He could tell you every engine of that line and the GWR too, works in Brass/white metal and such, slow but makes most items him self. Some would say thats another bit of useless information ;D.

A couple of years ago I made my living rebuilding and reliverying Hornby 00 locos for a company. The West Country and BoB Class locos were one of our biggest selling ranges.
I produced literally thousands of the d**n things.

Nice one Darth'D'H' mate.
Well I used to dabble in this also, but for my own amusement but my friend makes a living from his models, they run as well.
But he also does master/molds for this trade and makes some mean figures in 00 which seem to sell well, he also is a director of the Wadebridge loco(westcountry, sisters to the BB class) that has just been recommissioned and is currently running on the Watercress Line.
I still have a couple left, so maybe will take a picture of my T9 and post.
'So', I better get me Anorak out again so as to run on the foot plate lol ;D
