This is a tip for mounting parts for spraying that are awkward to clamp. The idea is to use left over sprue from the box & find a decent length to use as a handle. I found this out whilst making some squash casting of electrical boxes (but thats another tip to come!) So Borrow or pinch the wife's tea light & heat up the end of the sprue until it is 'glossy' see the photo of the reflection in the plastic. don't get the end sooty as this will stop it sticking to the part! next, push the molten plastic gently against the part you want to hold where it is hidden (don't want to deform your part!) & hold it until it go cold ( a few seconds) And there you go, held whist you play with it (spraying, grinding etc!!) When you have finished, a quick twist & it will come away without breaking your part. For my next trick will be to improve the chain as supplied with the kit in the motorcycling section forum posting! Please practice this first, guys, I wouldn't want any nasty surprises

Mark. That is a pretty good idea but you may need to be careful of the fumes from the melting sprue as they are not good for your health at all. Ian
