You may remember this Tank from a previous showing, well its been added to a diorama. This is scratch built including the bridge. This with some logs and yet more logs to come. With JS2 added. Plus another Vehicle Gaz 67B, but will be changed for another vehicle plus figures. A lot more work yet, but the idea came from a picture, so research is very Important. ;D Sorry for the poor background shine, but not very good with a Camera . Have to get my friends in our group to teach me.

Thanks Ian . Much appreciated. Hope to show it in a finished state soon. I was going to bring to Telford 2008, but circumstances will prevent me from attending this year .

Hello Very nice idea, looks very nice. What poor tree did you cut down for all those logs.

Hi Muddyfields lol.
Well I am lucky to have many Bush's and shrubs around to pick from, and these logs came from an old shrub that was getting past its prime('a bit like me') and so I have been saving them(logs) for a rainy day.
Was then perusing some of my books and came across this here picture which gave me the Idea, I keep many bits around that I think will do for something to build a Diorama with,('some never get past the thinking stage').
But this one seemed a good Idea and with the wifes approval,(she being the artist) things started taking shape.
Having already built a few kits (Russian)from the 1943/45 period I then had some Plastic sheets in 025/060 and 040 thou plus two embossed brickwork in O gauge gave me the Idea to start this project, with a ruler and pencil I drew out the design and shape, this used quite a few bits of paper.
The Base was built up from three ply cardboard and covered with embossed plastic one end to support the road and bridge, the other was made of thick cardboard and anything else I could get me hands on for the job, I used 1/76 plastic piles of rubbish from some matchbox kits for the side of the road, I built many moons ago,('as you can see I hoard anything') and lichen from my railway days.
Have nearly got to the finished stage, so hope to show the finished article soon.
'Phew', that was along speech and no mistake.
Frank.
