Is it just the tube I'm using or is all Tamiya Putty derived from reinforced concrete? 
My usual 'putty of choice' is the good 'ole 'Fine Surface Pollyfilla' but the modern stuff seems to have no strength at all. When I fill in some panel lines with it, it comes right out again when I sand it down after setting, so I thought I'd try the Tamiya stuff.
It doesn't go on that well, you can't smooth it as it sets so fast, but to sand down it takes quite a bit longer. However when it is set it's like Chobham Armour, you can't move it without the aid of machine tools or tactical nukes!
The worse effect is that it's harder than Halfords Grey Primer which means I sand off all the surrounding paint before the putty even starts to be affected.
The model I'm working on is now totally primer-less, two days after I first painted it, and my arms are falling off with the effort needed to sand down the darn Tamiya Putty!
