Hi Jon, I found a photo of a turretless Sherman fitted with a Fascine on page 42 of the 79th Armoured Div Profile Book 3 , it makes you wonder how they carried one with the turret . Good article we just need the photos if they ever exhisted turning up cheers ian

Hi John , it is just possible i have found a photo it is in the book Vanguard of Victory by David Fletcher The 79th Armoured Div see top of page 38 top left is Sherman DD next to it on the right is a tank with what looks like Fascines on rear deck it is too high to be a Churchill , for scale look behind it at the other Sherman DD , pity it is poor quality photo if only we had the IWM neg number cheers ian
