Daz, please drop me a line and let me know when you applied for membership, as I know the membership administrator, Jim Chapman has been on holiday.

Hi all , I said I would leave it till the 20th so I would know who wanted to be included and the final total , Also Nick and I have spent the last two days at a Model Railway show with the IPMS Derby and District stand , So I have not had time or the energy to reply to all and sundry . I will after the 20th let you all know exactly how the SIG stands , cheers ian

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together ;D Ian, I've put together a page for the SIG on the web site: www.ipms-uk.co.uk/sig_armour.htm, that way you have an identity and somewhere to advertise the activities of the SIG. Do you have a particular image of a tank or piece of armour which you would like to see used as a banner, there's a temporary banner in place at the moment?

Just received a list of the proposed Armour SIG members from Ian Sadler. In the abscence of Rob Monfea, IPMS(UK) Liaison Officer, I'll propose the SIG be made official at the EC meeting tomorrow.
On behalf of Rob, many thanks to those members who acted so swiftly to save the SIG.

My thanks to Ian for such a useful initial SIG email. This SIG issue resulted in a phone call from me to Bill Bedford in Wales and, in exchange for a crisp fiver, two bits of brass that actually work as advertised! In fact I have made so many little handles and rungs that my wife thinks I am now obsessed.....her only consolation is that it keeps me out of the pub. I have to report that it works with brass, florists and some annealed 'springy steel' wire that I have. Very useful. John
