Hi all
I am after some assistance/advice if possible. I have just bought the Dragon Stug III (1:35). On initial inspection it looks very well detailed and I am chomping at the bit to get it all done, however I have noticed that it comes with magic tracks. I have heard lots of good things about them but I am wondering what is the best way to put them on the vehicle. I assumed that they 'clipped' together without glue so that the realistic sag between wheels would be accentuated however that is not the case.
What is the best way to proceed? making up blocks of 5 or 6 and gluing them section at a time or individually?
Grateful for your views/suggestions.

I made myself a simple Jig using a block of wood two metal straight edges and some double sided tape.
First fix one of the straight edges to the block of wood. Then use three links at either end of the rule to space the second edge in place and fix the spacing.
Then place and clip the links in a length long enough to run accross all the upper return wheels. run some SLOW setting liquid poly along the length of track and after a few seconds you should be able to lift them off the jig and drape them into place. Repeat the process for the lower run. Remember it is easier to hide the join at the base of the lower rear wheel than any where else.
Hope this helps

I have just noticed your reply to this - funnily enough I came up with a similar idea although my budget only stretched to cut up cat food boxes but it works - both tracks are currently laid out on tape. I am going to try and spray the inside of the tracks before I glue and drape them on the wheels and then paint the outside of the tracks once the glue is dry and the whole thing is solid.
