It's Ian Sadler's fault, he's got me interested in modelling military vehicles. I've built a couple of the 1/35 MAN kits, enjoyed building a converted gun truck and dabbled with a part scratchbuild of a 1/24 Unimog. I've also attempted a couple of the 1/35 rail kits and have the Trumpeter Br52 locomotive in the stash. As you may know, Ian and I make the annual journey to the 'War and Peace' show at Beltring, and just in case we get bored, we usually take something to play with. For my latest foray into the military modelling world, I'm going to take the Italeri Staghound Mk.1 kit with me to Beltring for something to do. Now as you know, if you're going to do it, do it properly, and in order to build a reasonable model, you first have to have a bit of an idea of what it should (or could) look like. I've just done a quick search on the internet and came up with this site: www.staghounds.org.uk/I'll keep you all informed of the progress, anyone else building this litle gem?

Hi Nick, hope to see you on Wednesday, I understand that we may be having a Staghound on our site for the week, together with a couple of 'old' tanks, I was there on Saturday to set up, thankfully we didn't have any of the 'wet stuff' to add to the mud.
Robin.

I didn't manage to get hold of a Staghound kit until I got to Beltring, and in the end it came back with me unopened, but I will start it, maybe I'll keep it until Stoneleigh?
