www.network54.com/Forum/47751/message/1228835985/My+collection+updatedNow, he admits to being a F104 fan but he's got 165 hasegawa 1/48 kits. I just had to count them...and more than once! Retail price is about £16 each. That equals a cost of £2640. I guess he got them in a sale, or at least with a heavy discount.... 11 of 1/48 Tamiya F16 = £330 retail At least on the Airfix lightnings there was a sale sticker on one of them. God knows how much the rest of his collection is worth as there's some £100 kits in there as well. This lot just boggles my mind.... Just think how lucky you are mrs chadders... Surely this cannot be someone's kit collection...it must be a shop basement. Oh please let it be a shop...

Good point Rich...which is worse: having 165 Starfighters to make (amongst other stuff) or having your house maxed out with just the sheer volume of stuff...
What say you "DJ Alfie" or is it "Dr Alfie and his wheels of steel" ?

Hilton Jones, the leader of the Cardiff Plastic Aeroplane Club, put on a display of 104 F-104s last year, and that wasn't all of the ones he's got. There are so many 'Unit Closing Special Schemes' around, and the darn thing was sold to so many different countries, that 165 ought to be do-able.

It's not the size of the thing that counts it's how you store it .... or.....flaunt it! Alfie

Funnily enough I scared myself last night by idly counting that I had 28 average truck or trailer kits in my stash at around £25 apiece plus another 3 or 4 that were closer to double that. Thats around £900 And doesn't take into account the odd aircraft, tank, car and motorbike still lurking around.
