2001 Scoobie Conversion

Well Ive gotten back into the swing of things now, I can pick up plastic and glue now without drifting into a blank.....

I got the 1/24 Tamiya Scoobie in Telford (Thank you, you know who you are ) but i have decided to re-model it slightly.

I have chosen to add a little wheel arch extensions to it, I found a picture of a Nissan Altima (Maxima ?) that had been photo chopped and liked the smoothness of the finshed car. So the plan is to have a similar style.

well the front is starting to take shape, the wheel arches have become longer/square'r and a splitter/lip is being added to the bumper.....

got quite a bit done tonight, put some top coat onto another model and some body work to the scoobie.

the front of the car is virtually finished, there are some minor pits and blemishes that need smoothing out.

as for the rear, well i widend the rear arches to match the front and converted an Evo boot spoiler for the rear.

the bumper still has a lot to do. The basic shape is there, just need to put in the panel lines and remove the pits and marks etc.....

havent decided on the colour yet?

When I got this kit it didnt come with any rear lights, so what Ive done is pressed some Tamiya apoxy putty from behind the light hole so it pokes through slightly. Then once hardened i can then shape and smooth the putty and make the light unit shape, for the lights them selves i will drill holes for the lights to represent some "lexus" style lights. ;D
