TZ203/J, 208 Sqn, Palestine, 1949. This should have been on the table at Telford this year, but it was delayed - I finally finished it today to make seven completed builds this year. Anyway, here it is - the LSG/DE scheme, albeit with the wrong pattern! The reason for that is that this scheme was simplified when compared to the standard Spitfire pattern - unfortunately I didn't recheck my references before painting and relied on a diagram of a standard pattern. So drum me out of IPMS! ;D Comments welcome (apart from "wrong camo pattern"), just don't look too closely at some of the seams. Revell boxing of Hasegawa kit, Aeroclub FR18 conversion, ADS decals. Thanks to Stephen from Britmodeller for supplying the "e" wing cannon bay covers, which are not included in the Revell kit. And to me, this angle sums up the FR18 (or any Spit come to that) - sleek lines and sheer brute power. Thanks for looking.

was looking (slightly envious) and wondering what scale ... Wrong camo pattern ? don't tell anybody ! She is impressive enough so it might go unnoticed. Congrats, Rolf

Mike,
Nice model....
It is a lovely scheme isn't it? A little unusual, little known, nicely pale, and does show the shape off well. Do like the Spitfire FRXIV and FRXVIII, with the slightly bigger rudder...
1/48th?
Colin
