Hi All,
Me and a few other members are looking to start a Hot Rod and custom car SIG.
We are hoping to launch at Huddersfield in Feb, and then display at Telford this year
Please reply if you are interested in joining us.

Hi Nick,
I have been in contact with Rob, and it has been discussed that Hot rods and customs are not catered for enough within the IPMS.
I am just waiting to get enough members together then i can get this thing moving

Not my personal field of interest but if you need a member for numbers let me know and I'll step up to the plate. I'm always keen to see more Car modelling at Telford.

Hi,
I am sure we can get enough scale rodders and customisers to start a Hot Rod and Custom Car SIG - I've certainly seen some good stuff on the club stands. If there can be so many airplane and armor SIGs I am sure us car builders can make room for three car SIGs. Count me in!
If the weather is nice at Telford next November I'll park my 1:1 34 coupe right outside the centre!
I also do drag racing models - will they be included as well? Considering how closely the history of hot rodding and drag racing are linked I hope you'll be including them.

I reckon you guys setting up the HR and Custom SIG may benefit from getting in touch with WATFORD SCALE MODEL CLUB. There is a very active Rod and Custom group within that club also.
They usually display at the IPMS Milton Keynes Show in February. If any of you get to go there ask for Nigel Foster and his gang. They usually put on show some fabulous customs.

Yes, congratulations, due to Lees diligent persistence you are now a SIG.
Now, who said IPMS (UK) was only interested in wingy things?
Mind you, I suppose some of your models will have (upside down) wings on the back!

Hi,
Pleased to hear we now have a SIG - well done Lee! For me, I'd like a bunch of helpful people to chat to at shows and display with as well as converse over forums such as this one. Our paths may also cross when we're at custom car shows drooling and collecting much needed research!
My street rods haven't got (upside down) wings on the back but my dragsters sure have!
