Whilst at Milton Keynes today, I gave in to temptation and bought this ... ... it's the Trumpeter WR 360 C12 Locomotive, and as it's the Harvey Hadden show next month in Nottingham and we've got display space, I've decided to get this straight into the workshop and onto the bench. I've got about a month in which to build this kit and get it to a reasonable display level. Photos and WIP notes just as soon as I can.

Ayup David, I was going to fight my way through a blizzard to the workshop tonight, open the box and start gluing plastic, but I ended up doing a couple of hours work on forthcoming SMW pages for the web site in a nice warm room. Well, that's the excuse anyway, but I will open the box and take a few photos very soon.

I've been searching t'interweb for reference material and all I've found is 1 photo. Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent reference source?

There's a photobook coming fairly soon, though I don't know the publication date.

Afternoon
Looking at the picture on the book cover, it's different from the picture on the model box (the grille arrangement on the front panel). It's my understanding that the C14 loco (book) was slightly larger and more powerful than the C12 (kit). There's loads of info on the Internet on the C14 which was used to pull railguns, etc and a couple even ended up in Israel after WW2. There's very little on the C12 apart from one that was used to pull Armoured Train No. 29. Hopefully, the book will cover both.
Regards, Alfie

Thanks for the info folks. I've just received an email from WWP books, apparently the new title should be available on or shortly after February 16th.
