Me and a friend have been discussing the possibity of a First World War SIG. Would there be interest in this? Thoughts i'd do a fact finding mission before we do anything.

Hi Ross, as long as Naval subjects were welcome I would certainly have an interest.

Hello Ross
I would be interested in the SIG. I was a member of the old SIG when it was just aircraft, but that wound up due to lack of participation mainly. I think the idea of expanding it to all subjects, eg naval, is a good one.

I would be interested as well. I already belong to an Internet WW1 modelling group, which has an IPMS US chapter, the GWICC - see www.wwi-models.orgThere are three or four GWICC members that are IPMS(UK) members, who also may be interested. We've put on a few GWICC displays at model shows, including the Nationals - see gallery.atpic.com/15973 and www.wwi-models.org/Photos/Events/y2008/GWICCSJC/The next display is at Cosford this Sunday, and then Plymouth on the 25th, so come and have a chat if you're at either show. OK, put me down as interested, there's a couple of models I have in mind, most of them large scale ... 1/12 and 1/16.
