Dennis,
What can I say, thanks for your posts...... Marvellous stuff.
Bugger, I now have to look at getting another Hunter kit and doing one of those Iraqi FR Hunters...
Not a popular subject, but your photos and information, make it a must.
Colin
PS How you doing with the Canberra's....

Not a popular subject, but your photos and information, make it a must. Colin PS How you doing with the Canberra's.... Ah.......Yes...........Ummmmmmmmmm!. After sortng all that stuff re ME/Jordanian/Iraqi/Lebanese Hunters I suddenly had the urge to go all Middle Eastern (No I am NOT wearing a Thobe and Guthra to Telford )so I now have my Aeroclub Hunter F6's (two), T7 and Meteor F8 on the bench. All had been started ages ago and packed away again Canberras, P2v's and WV-1 temporarily back in the box(es) but I'll tinker with them as I progress Aeroclub Hunter F6 (No.1) = Jordanian FR6 Aeroclub Hunter F6 (No.2) = Iraqi FR (need minor conversion) Aeroclub Hunter T.7 = pristine Jordanian T66B or Iraqi with the big serials Aeroclub Meteor F8 = Syrian FR.9 (nasal surgery required) May actually do a photo build on the Meatbox and Iraqi Hunter especially when it comes to the markings - either cut stencil or solid decal sheet. Colin - if you need and further details and pix - just holler. Nice PR9 by the way. Nearly ready to mould the "new" tip tanks - when I'm happy I'll send you a set DR

Now then chaps, Armed with all the above I have made a start on an F6. Exactly which F6 I have not yet decided but I am leaning towards one relatively soon after delivery in 1959-60. F6 Cockpit March 2009

Thanks for compliment Dennis. 1/72. Thou Jesteth !!!!!! - seriously?? - or is it one of the pre-painted cockpit details? I have trouble getting half that detail in 48th - mind you I blame my eyes you know, plus advancing years (thats my excuse anyway !! - and I am sticking to it) Intrepid Recce SIG leader - you seen this? - We 'ave competition !! Kiwichappers - may I seriously suggest that you ask that nice Southsix chappie to transfer this to the Photobuild section and then carry on. If you can do that to a 72nd cockpit - I'd very much like to see what the hell you can do to the rest of it - rivet the skins on? - working oleos ? Nice work - I'm impressed - so far DR

Kiwichappers,
can only endorse remarks of Dennis - if I would try something like that my build sequence would drop below 1 p.a.
- no patience nor dexterity to try something like this !

Dennis,
It's alright, he will probably get a 'Pox' upon his eyeballs, and have to fall back upon 1/48, like the rest of us mere mortals......
Mind you, promising start... Could be interesting to see where all these Hunters lead to...
Agree with comments about 'photo builds'....
Come on folks, put your photos up of your builds, so we can all learn and enjoy.......................................................................
How the hell did he do all those little yellow marks on the upper ejection handle? I only seem to get half a dozen on it...?
