I prepared the body of this kit about six months ago and it has sat in its box like this for ages. So whilst I'm waiting for the decals to dry on my F430 on with this kit. As you can see the body prep is quite advanced. I intend to finish it in Zero Paint's Verde Itaca Pearl. THC

So I've stripped the remaining parts from their Sprues and rapidly built the suspension and transmission. I'll paint the Satin Black tomorrow probably along with most of the interior. These shots show the body placed on the chassis with the Zero Paint I'm going to use on the car. Some of the Crazy Modeller Etch will be used, brake discs, meshes, etc. Not sure how to use the rear screens but I'll work that out later. THC

Got a couple of coats of Zero Microfiller Grey then a coat of Microfiller White on the body and panels. Couple of weeks to cure then a buff and on with the base coats for the two colour pearl. I'm actually quite excited about the finished colour H

As we fly tomorrow at Stupid O'Clock Mrs Claw and I decided that going to bed was pointless. So I retired to the loft and set about preparing the Murcielago for its colour coats. The body was given a good overall sanding to remove any unwanted texture from the primer coats. After a good wash and airdry the body was sprayed with the Primer element of the Verde Itaca paint. This shows why we should always wear gloves, use and extractor and wear a face mask when spraying any kind of paints. The vivid nature of the base colour just makes the point more strongly. These pictures show the paint where I intended it to go, on the Bodyshell. Gonna be interesting when it gets Clear Coated. THC

Here it is after the second part of the paint I just finished spraying it. The colour change is quite noticable in the flesh. I think the camera washes out some of the richness of the colour. Hope fully the Clear coat will bring out the Mica more as it is quite subdued at present. THC

At last I got chance to get some clear on this beast. I use ZeroPaints 2Pk Clear, this is terrific if dangerous stuff. I don't recommend it unless you have suitable extraction equipment and a high end mask. Surgical gloves are also a nessesity. Any ways here are a couple of pictures of the body with clear taken with my new photographic set up. Comments, advice always appreciated. THC

Very, erm , green Just the used the Hiro 2pk clear over Halfords Appliance White and it really does 'lift' the colour - yes even white! Do you think it needs to be polished out or will you live with it as is? Looking good all the same Rich
