Do you live in the South Derbyshire ( Stenson, Chellaston, Swarkstone, Melbourne, Repton, Swadlincote, Woodville, Hilton, Findern, Hatton) area? or the Staffordshire ( Burton, Alrewas, Tamworth, Lichfield) area? ... If so, would you be interested in becoming a member of a proposed new club situated in the Tamworth / Burton area? A suitable venue is being sought (anywhere suitable considered), disabled access would be a bonus with reasonable parking, and the meeting frequency would be at least once per month, possibly twice, the day and time to be decided. We hope to encourage modellers' of all ages with varying abilities and interests. If you're interested, please send an email with 'model club' as the header to modelmaker@ymail.com

With immediate effect, Derby & District model club have a new name, IPMS 'Derby / Burton', which better reflects our geographical position. We're also moving venue from Cromford in the Derbyshire Peak, to 'Leavesley's' on the A38 (South) near Alrewas in Staffordshire. The first meeting of 'Derby / Burton' will take place on Friday June 5th at 1900, everyone welcome. We have coffee and tea making facilities, if you fancy a beer (those of you who are not driving of course), sorry, it's bring your own.

We are easy enought to find, we are situated on the South Bound slip road to the A38 at Alrewas (A513 junction)
As you come down the slip road we are 100 yards down on the left. There is a red brick building with "Leavesley Group" on the front, if you pull into the car park situated outside the main gates we are next to there.
Address:
Leavesley International Rykneld House Rykneld Street (A38) Alrewas Burton on Trent DE13 7AB
See you in June ;D

Ayup Nick...
Apologies to not having answered your phone message. I didn't mean to show bad manners mate.
I still have no car so couldn't come, but hopefully the auction will provide on Tuesday... I should love to drop in as and when I'm back on the road.
Stu.

Ayup Folks, just had an email from Roy Wells, a long time member of the Cromford club. He apologised for being off the map for some time but he hopes to join us at some point at our new home. Roy has his own home page: homepage.ntlworld.com/rs_wells/Frame.htm I think you'll agree, the bloke has talent.

Ayup Nick... Apologies to not having answered your phone message. I didn't mean to show bad manners mate. Stu, no offence taken, you're more than welcome to come along as and when you can. We meet on the first Friday of the month, however, I'd like to increase the frequency of the meetings to twice per month, but we'll see how things go and canvas the other members about the idea, it all depends of course on our new hosts, let's get our feet under the table first eh?
