Datsun is coming along nicely. Are you going to do it in the supplied livery (works colours?) I have the 240ZG which I keep having a fiddle with. There is a guy on another forum building one, he has made his own wheels and tyres and intends to get them produced in resin. I'm going to have a set of those rims if he ever sells them. I had a 260Z about 25 years ago, I loved that car. Unfortunately a young girl rear ended me and wrote it off. I suppose it did me a favour in the long run as her insurer paid out well and although the car ran beatifully and looked great, the tinworm was doing it's worst below the surface! Looking forward to seeing yours finished. Regards, Steve.

Steve, no I'm not doing it in the works coours I've got my own colour it's actually an Australian Ford colour but I can't remember what it's called I only know the code number for it. So far the car hasn't come any further than what you see here money is the problem at the moment, I'm not crying poor it's just don't have enough of the stuff but we'll get there one day and I'll finish the model off. OK Rich here is my 240Z motor and as U can see it's a webber carb job or what ever it is suppose to represent but it's not like the one U have in U'r photo so this will clear up some of the mis-conception that others may have if they buy or R able to buy this kit and thing that they will only get the SU or Solex type carbs. Oh by the way this project will be started soon as I'm am retiring from Scouting to give me more time to build my model cars. yea at last time to play with my toys, oops sorry model cars. Dingo

The body has got it's first coat of blue paint which is Ocean Blue a rattle can colour and as near to the AUstralian Ford Blue as I could get, to buy the right Ford colour was going to cost me an arm and a leg so I got a $2 can of paint as U can see it came out quite good. Dingo

Well it now has all its coats of paint on 6 in all so it can be polished well maybe. but first I may put some decals on it then clear coat it with another 6 or 7 coats so I can give it a good polish, I was thinking of giving it a few toucjes of dirt but heck why wreck a good paint job. Dash panel with all switches and gauges needed in place ready to rally. Centre console with start button & rocket cover kkill switch. Dingo

Wow, nice paint job Dingo. As for weathering, I love the challenege of weathering, but I think in this instance, leave it alone, it looks really good.

Great job there Dingo. As Southsix1 said, leave it be, it's en route to stage 1! Maybe you could find one of the Tamiya 1/12 Team Manager figures and have him peering into the passenger window as stage control? Rich

THanks guys for U'r compliments and encouragements, it's coming along slowly but surely I'm now in the process of building new solder extractors for it as the ones that it has R plier maked and look tacky can't have that can we??. Also the dash will have a few more refinements put on it and the switches will be painted a lot better than they R, apart form that nothing great has happened with it since my last post as I've bought 3 more 1/24th scale rally cars and have been working on those as well.
