I bought this R35 Nissan Skyline at Telford last year, the original plan was to build from the box. ..... unfortunately things didnt go according to plan..... I found this "Zele" trans kit, the only problem is that my Skyline kit is not the one for the transkit lol anyway, i recon with some cutting, filling, sanding a glueing it will fit..... ;D The colour for the car is Lamborghini Arancio Atlas Orange, I spoke to my local Lambo garage and they dont sell touch up paint. instead i found a paint supplier who would supply me a small amount of paint for my air brush. Nissan Skyline R35 Zele conversion. Looking at the transkit, the side skirts dont line up, the front bumper mounts in different places and the panels dont line up either...... Ive sanded down the side skirts and got them to fit, and ive mounted the front bumper. once the bumper has glued i can fill and sand i little more.... enjoy

IIRC that is for the Tamiya kit which is in very short supply.
I've got a translation of a Japanese magazine article somewhere that shows the Fujimi is the better R35. I've got all three in some form or another and there are visible differences between them all.
I found the Aoshima to be the hardest to build due in the main to that very odd front and rear bumper assembly method. I fixed the bumpers to the body early on and found it more or less impossible to then insert the chassis!
I'll watch your build with interest.

Done some more today..... I was given some advise from a paint sprayer the other day on painting vehicles, he told me of how you can get a better finish of you sand down your first layer of base coat, and once smooth paint again..... this process will give a better smoother finish. So what i have done here is i have painted a coat of white paint and sanded it down ready for the orange. hopefully this will work the same way

Don't know if you use 2K clear but that is just beggin' for the "wet - look" Although any clear coat will bring a superb result, nice colour.
