NOT HAVING MUCH ACCESS TO BOOKS I'VE BEEN SCOURING THE INTERNET FOR PICTURES OF THE JU 88P-1. FOUND THIS SITE : www.reibert.info/forum/showthread.php?t+39041 WHICH SHOWS SOME VERY GOOD VIEWS OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE A KG3 MACHINE WITH THE CODES GH. PICTURE ON PAGE 2 SHOWS MAYBE A VARIATION ON THE KG3 BADGE. UDO CORDES WAS WITH THEM BUT ON THE C-6. THE PROFILE GIVES THE CODES IN THE WRONG LOCATION WITH A WHITE G AND BLACK H WITH WHITE EDGING. THE G COULD BE WHITE BUT FRESH PAINT AS COMPARED TO THE WHITE CROSS. KG3 DID HAVE YELLOW EDGES TO THEIR BLACK CODES. IF YOU LOOK VERY CAREFULLY AT THE PHOTO OF THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE CODES THERE COULD BE A SMALL 5A OR 5K TO THE LEFT OF THE CROSS. CAN ANY HELPFUL SOUL GIVE ME SOME IDEAS AS TO STAFFEL, COLOURS ETC ON THIS VERY INTERESTING AIRCRAFT.

Colin,
Thanks for the tip. I've got to disappear for a couple of weeks but I'll get on to it when I get back. Very difficult finding any info on this fascinating series for the JU 88 (P-1, P-2 etc). I was chatting to my Uncle the other day about his experiences on a couple of missions flying the IID Hurricane and the big 40mm firing out of synch. Hair-raising to say the least. Best regards Max
