Acquired at the same time as the 2E this is another Fisher resin kit. Again a Curbside this kit depicts the car as raced in Europe in 1967. The enormous downforce generated by that wing coupled with the massive torque and horsepower generated by the Chevrolet 427 cubic inch V8 and automatic transmission made it an awesome competitor. Sadly it proved fragile with Pole at Monza followed by retirement with a broken driveshaft typical of their performances all season. Finally in an ironic twist the 2F won from pole the BOAC 500 at Brands Hatch the very weekend that the controlling body moved to make the cars illegal the next year. The 2F did however run in the 1967 Targa Florio although it did retire quite early on. As i am building a collection of Targa cars this is a bit of a double whamy kit hence my eagerness to acquire it. The Box: Bits: The kit mocked up gives an impression of the car: Hope you're enjoying things so far. THC
