5 more vehicles have landed into my W.I.P. Garage and have been hit with grey primer already, this has happened after a long wait for paying off a credit card that paid for 1:1 car repairs 6-7 months ago, you could say this is a reward for being patient. OK so the Pajero is not really a full blown rally car but it is going to be built into a Dakar vehicle. Dingo

The Alpine is lovely and one of my favourite cars. There is one that I see now and then when I visit my parents, it is white, in good order and used regularly. I always have a good look around it when it is parked up in the local supermarket. Nice bunch of kits there Dingo, looks like you will have a great time building them all. Well done on getting your credit card balance clear, let us all know how you beat the credit crunch! lol Cheers, Steve.

Steve, beating the credit card blues was easy It didn't belong to us so we had no option BUT to pay it off. OK now that's over with here is the start of my 5 rally car build number one is the VR4 Galant. Some of U may have noticed the Scale Auto Decal in this photo. it's a 25-30 yr old decal so please don't ask where I got it from and unless U can remember back that far it come from Scale Auto Enthusiast own mag when they celebrated I think it was 20 yrs of publication. Photo 2 & 3 show a Hasegawa decal & a Redarc decal, the first is taken from the decal sheet of Hasegawa and the second is actually a sticker given to me by my son who works for this company. They make electronic gear for the trucking industry like speed limiters and the like. Hope U all like what I've done so far the interior is about to be built with the roll cage being made of 2 mm solder. Dingo

Dingo I do and I still have that decal sheet. In fact the model I was going to build has been in the paint shop this year (!) and is another of one of my many unfinished projects. Once SMW is out of the way i may well return to tidying it up and actually finishing it! Looking good so far Dingo, looking forward to the roll cage...I'm guessing this may have something to do with the coach combo, or was that the Charger? Rich

Rich two things, first one becareful when using the 20+yr old decal from SAE I nearly lost my big one last night because of the age luckily I remembered a trick that I got from a forum to save 'em. second one is the Charger was going to be part of the coach motorhome but I have now decided to use the Galant as It fits in with all the other stuff that's in the trailer where the Dodge doesn't oh well crap happens eh? No silly comments mate. We all experiment with different techniques and materials and, for the most part, get the results we want - but not all the time! At least you have the nerve to post pics of the failed attempts! Saved us trying this method in the future.

I've used Solder for similar things in the past. I found it helped to roll it on a piece of glass using a Steel Rule. Once I had it dead straight I found theat I could judge the lines better and get a more even bend.
Wrapping it in Masking tape gave the impression of the foam padding often seen on these.
