Hi Everyone, Here are some pictures of my completed Italerie/AM 1/48 Avenger just off the stocks in time for the Recce SIG's Table at SMW 2009. It was converted using the "Guppy" conversion set from MDC and decals mostly provided by Colin from the IPMS Decal Bank as the Dutch Profile lads had sold their last set of decals in 1/48 scale when I contacted them. The kit went together beautifully, only slight snags were that the rear belly panel provided in the MDC set it about 30 mm too short at the front and I would have paid a fiver extra for a nose cowl with the lower intake and cowl flaps ( an ommission only noticed when dacalling the model ( do I rip the nose off and start again on the front intakes, possibly ruining the model or not ? ). I thought I had better come clean before some one else spotted it. Apparently it does say in the instructions that the later TBM Accurate Miniatures kit should be used but they are like Rocking Horse dung and twice the price. That said I am very pleased with the outcome and must mention how good the Eduard canopy masks and pre painted cockpit sets are, they make life so much easier. Firstly the Cockpit - Couldn't resist going outside and taking so "action photos" it's such a nice day. I've got quite a nice collection of "Guppies" now - All I need is that 1/48 Classic Airframes AEW Gannet that was advertised 2 years ago and has disapeared, to make the set. Cheers Ian

Ian,
Very tidy, do like that, it's come out well.
Quite a collection coming along there. Like Rolf I look forward to seeing them in the flesh.
I agree with the sentiments about the AEW Gannet....
