Well i finally decided to stop putting off modelling, dusted off my modelling kit box and started on the Saturday evening just after i had got back from Telford. I brought the mummy model which i started first of all and managed to put together most of it before i conseaded defeat for a little while. I brought the alien model with egg last year for someone who wanted me to build them a model. So far it's going ok (bit of a dodgy moment when i was taking the bits off the mould and the foot came off the rest of the model but manage to stick and fill it) I am off to get some paints tomorrow in Nottingham for them both. The superglue i brought has been bringing tears to my eyes and the rabbit's (our pet rabbit Ninja kawasaki lives in our dining room) so i might have to find something else to use. I have a ghostbusters car that i am really looking forward to building but i don't want to get too far ahead of myself or i could end up with a dozen half built models Will start taking some photos this evening before i continue with the models, hopefully put them on here shortly.

It didn't take IPMS to drive me back to my table but a very nicely priced Darleks kit dropped from £35 eye watering pounds to a tenner. Which so far has been so worth the money. Hoping what with this and my almost complete wave serpent from GW I may be back on form to do some serious building. Never had a fumes problem with any superglue I have used but still all glues and cements should be used in a ventilated space. Look forward to seeing the build photos...

Nice to see you back on track Tim, looking forward to seeing pictures of your build, and hopefully see you at SMW in 2010.
Rebecca, get your camera clicking.

Hi Tim and Rebecca, looking foreward to seeing both of your models, i have just returned to the GW fold, as a change from motorbikes, and at present am about to start on a small Diorama. Especially looking forewad to the Waveserpent as the Eldar are one of my favorites. Dave

Well first tip i would give anyone with the Dalek kit is throw the ruddy included paints away. Good grief what total rubbish. If I were a beginner and got a started kit and had to use these paints I would be terminally disappointed in the model.
The humbrol spray acrylics however are a good idea and you can get them in matching colours to the ones required. It builds into a passingly nice model but have only assembled the closed up version to date.
More soon with pictures I hope!
