Looking for more info on Mustang F-6B. Does anybody know of more pics of this (or other a/c of the same Sqdr) showing them AFTER removal of the invasion stripes on wings (uppersides) ? Accurate only states in the instructions that the stripes were sometimes still partly visible after removal. Many thanks in advance for any help. popeye

Hello Rolf, hope you had an enjoyable stay last weekend,in responce to your query, i have ploughed through my limited references, but with no luck. however as I live ony 3 miles from middle wallop, and they have a model show there next week, I.ll try to see if the museum has any information on the USAAF units based there.unlikely, but you never know. as a side note we had a conversation regarding hunter decals on the staurday. if you can find out more about these it would be much appreciated.
regards ROGERD

Roger,
Anything showing overpainted or (partly) erased D-Day stripes on wing uppers will be welcome.
Do have "Pattons Eyes..." and Squadron "Walk araound" Allison engined Mustangs and some clipping - nothing yields pics on that particular detail.
Re Top Kit decal for "papyrus" Hunter - not forgotten but next visit at Modellshop Saturday possible at the earliest.
Will get back to you.
Rolf

oops forgot to ask, I take that the hunter is a MK 58? it means that I have to plough through my stash to find the kit. the one I have half built is a mk 6.
