Received by email this evening ... I'm building the 1/48 Trumpeter Hawker Sea Fury and having difficulty getting information on the 76.2 mm rockets and fuel tanks it carried. Also if anyone has information on aftermarket sets. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John Stanko: gumshoe_60@yahoo.com

the fuel tanks are supossedly way oversize, so need replacing, i cannot recall if any alternatives are availible, but I,ll check. as for the rockets, I seem to remember there being a problem with the kit items, I used the spare ones from the wyvern kit on my build. rogerd

The Sea Fury carried two sizes of tank; one for combat, and one for ferrying; it's possible that Trumpeter have supplied the latter. I don't have the kit, so can't judge, but the Tempest's normal tank appears similar, albeit with filler points, which the Sea Fury's lacked (or it appears so.) I've been unable to discover if the Sea Fury tanks were filled via the normal (wing) filling points. As far as I can tell, the 3" rockets were the same as those of WWII (not with red heads, though; they were practice rounds.) Edgar
