Ok..Tricky territory. I've read the arguments, debates etc. I have Rising decals sheet for 1/48 Japanese bombers. Nice deep red. Just finished building a 1/48 Hasegawa Kate and again nice deep red. Picked up two Hasegawa A6Ms and got two sets of wishy washy light red. Can anyone recommend a replacement sheet that comes close to the Rising decals sheet (close to Humbrol 153). I've heard that techmod comes close but I can't tell from the Hannants site. Cam decals looks good too. Any experts out there to help poor little me and my shattered bank account.  |

Again, thank you Alfie. Lovely rich reds matching closely to Humbrol 19, which was a perfect match to the Hasegawa decals. I'm sure bright red is closer to accurate, especially when the Hinomaru had weathered but I prefer the darker hue.
